VA Gold vs VA Platinum?

Don't waste it for row 3 as row 3 is still easy to obtain for Gold members. Personally I don't see benefit in VA Plat.

Mrs G is SG too, and she has never been able to get Row 3 - unless travelling with me when I can get us both there during the booking

I suspect it depends on route/time of travel. On MEL-SYD flights early on weekday mornings, I have often found only middle seats in Row 3 available when booking flights a week or two out as a Platinum, and occasionally no Row 3 seats at all. Mind you, given the general discontent on these pages among VA Platinums, I suspect there might be a fair few more Row 3 seats available these days .......

Yes. T is flight time

T is otherwise an abbreviation for "take-off". Some people here are known for setting phone alarms to check in as the system opens up the seating...
