VA lounge Launceston

Hello AFF , Can anyone please confirm if there are any virgin lounges in Launceston or Hobart. We have a booking for 19th April from Launceston to Melbourne . Initially the flight was at 7 PM but now it has been updated to 9 PM ; as we checkout in afternoon wanted to know if there is a lounge else we will have to check alternate flight options.

Much promised in Hobart, never delivered. Unless you have access to the VIP Virgin lounge in HBA (side door near baggage) there is nothing and probably will never be anything in Tassie.

I have been a regular traveller in/out of Launceston over the last 12 months, there is a coffee shop with standard food offerings, and a bar with all booze available that has some meals. There is a Qantas "lounge" but it is tiny and it only has water !!

Incorrect, the QF Regional lounge in LST has water, juice, soft drink and a range of alcohol (After 12pm I believe) - all self service.

It was also closed for a few months of last year !!

As I am travelling on VA flight , I not sure if we could use the QF regional lounge. ( I don't have QF status but have Qatar airways platinum status ).

Correct - no access for you unless you cancel your VA flights and rebook on QF.

If you have to ask it’s not for you….But you can try to get in, it’s the alarmed door that looks like an emergency exit near baggage that has big warnings all over it saying alarm will sound if you open this door.

LST is not the worst airport to slum it with the great unwashed. The QF lounge is pretty dire. Not many stay there for long.
