Was very underwhelmed by the food offerings in the MEL J Lounge recently.
Do they make more of an effort on Xmas Day (and also in PER)?

I flew PER-ADL last Xmas day and there was nothing different in the lounge , you would've even know it was Xmas day .
On board , there was some tinsel on the bulkhead row 3 and that was it. Food was still half tomato and cheese sandwich and some nuts . I actually wrote in to complain , because the sandwiches were ineatable , the middle was frozen, it was disgusting biting into frozen tomato. When the FA walked past I asked her and she said ah well, sorry about that and that was it ! The plane was about 75% full which was busier then I thought it was going to be

Thanks, but not what I was hoping to hear - looks like it might be BYO apples.

Ive flown SYD>Melb>Hobart and another year SYD>Melb on Christmas day and found nothing special about the lounge or food offerings.

Flights were full, two flights we had Row 3 with a shadow and had a Christmas theme short bread thrown at us for our "snack"

Other year we were J and had a standard meal.

This year we're flying SYD>PER on the 23rd, thankfully got rewards J seats as I imagine it will be their busiest Friday of the year.
