VA mistake fares from DRW to NYC and LAS?

I got the Blue holidays email last night and noticed some astonishingly low fares departing Darwin to LAS and NYC with accommodation included. I paid $1350 for MEL-NYC return for my trip a year ago and thought I was getting a great deal - they're offering that price for DRW-MEL-NYC return with 5 nights accommodation thrown in!

Of course, when I tried to search for them on the VA website plugging in dates the price was naturally 2 - 3 times the advertised price. I assume this is a mistake as the fares ex-DRW are priced much, much (like $1K) lower than ex-MEL/SYD/BNE despite the fact they obviously have to connect through these eastern ports.

Perhaps worth calling Blue Holidays and asking them for the available dates for the advertised fares. As the email only went out overnight if VA cannot tell you any dates the advertised fares are available the offer should be pulled as it does not exist?

Unfortunately the email communication sent by Virgin Australia on 8 May, 2012 included an incorrectly priced Blue Holidays packages to New York City from Darwin. We do apologise for the error and have updated prices on the New York City landing pages for customers travelling from Darwin. The correct from price is $2276pp twin share.
