Hi All/VFF,

Hoping for some help. I have 2 bookings upcoming, traveling on AirNZ Metal.

1) MEL - AUK November 13, booked through VA website.
I have both a VA and AirNZ confirmation number.
I am unable to manage my booking on the AirNZ website.

2) MEL - LAX via AUK in September, booked via AirNZ
I have only an AirNZ confirmation.
I am able to manage my booking on the AirNZ website.
I have booked FREQUENT FLYER and Preferred seating at "status" rates. (refer below).

Shortly after booking trip 1, I called velocity and requested the AirNZ confirmation number, so I could go online and select my seats. I did that, and have an email confirmation from AirNZ for 6A and 4A (refer below).image3.jpg

I call AirNZ today regarding my trip, and they tell me there are no seats booked. Further, they cannot book me in frequent flier seats as I do not have status with them. When I make a dummy booking, and insert my VFF number, I am presented with frequent flier seats (see below). They suggest calling VFF for assistance.

Five minutes later, the VFF rep is (frankly) rude, telling me that I don't have status with AirNZ, and what can I expect. WELL. I expect the seats I selected for a start, or at very least which the AirNZ website is saying I am entitled to. That was part of my reason for purchasing. The rep gets AirNZ on the line (one of his "colleagues") who also refuses to give me anything except for 16A. 16A on the outbound leg is a FREQUENT FLIER seat, but I want 12A which is also a FF seat. Apparently, the only option open to me is 16A - over the wing. Apparently this is a HUGE FAVOUR to me as a Platinum Velocity member. A favour. As though they aren't all getting paid for doing their jobs.

So my question is:
1) What are Velocity Golds/Platinums entitled to in regards to seating on AirNZ?
2) What can I do to resolve this situation so I am not stuck in ****ty seats?
3) What do you usually get when flying AirNZ on a VA booking as a VFF?

Any help greatly appreciated!
