Read about this a few days ago.

I wonder if this means they'll be expanding the tarmac opposite the VA terminal similar to what they did opposite QF, allowing the ATR's to be parked closer?

I'm not sure where the additional gates are going to go though... and expanded terminal could happen if they filled in that corner opposite the lounge I guess.

Whats wrong with utilising the two downstairs for the ATRs? (except causing issues with directly accessing the lounge via a status screening point)

They have a nice former short term carpark that will soon turn into Apron I suspect.

Why don't they use them already? I assumed parking was limited.
