Not hoping for much tbh. Their other international routes out of SYD, BNE and MEL don't get lounge access even though contract options are available - so clearly unwilling to pay.
Does VA have an international lounge strategy to deliver lounge access like a real airline?

I'm departing BNE on AC as a VA Gold and cannot find any free lounge access. It's a 10am flight, I promise that I just use wifi and a coffee.

Appreciate that comprehensive list.

I'm satisfied with those options, especially from MEL.
Not every corner covered, but hybrid it is.

Does the International BP allow access to the Domestic lounges in practice. The policy as I read it always seems to mention 'same day domestic boarding pass. For example this page Virgin Australia's airport lounges | Virgin Australia
*Eligible guests travelling with Virgin Australia internationally from Adelaide and the Gold Coast can use the domestic lounge as the international and domestic departures are located within the one terminal.

and then later

When flying on a same day Virgin Australia operated domestic flight, Gold members receive complimentary access pre-departure /snip/ into our Virgin Australia Domestic Lounges.

The VA website has the following specifically listing ADL and OOL at the bottom:

MEL to NAN/DPS is also a similar same terminal thing although less convenient as it's behind separate security (more so since the domestic switch) and the only Perth international flights are CXI/CCK which are very premium light but also infrequent.

BNE int and dom terminals are a far way apart, and you have to clear Aust dom security screening at BNE, to get into the VAd BNE lounge.
Not worth the effort.
Seeing that your flight is at 10am, what do you want, get to the airport zone at 6am, after doing OLCI with AC, and first, go through Aust dom security screening, with all other pax, then use the VAd lounge, for a coffee and a bit of breakfast, get the orange bus across to the int terminal, go through outgoing Aust immi and then int security screening, to get the AC flight out.
Thats 2 set out taking out phones, or putting them into HLO, and get the bag screened, taking off belt, clearing pockets, etc...

Going through too many security screening, also sees the chances of more items being lost or misplaced.
