VA to Sq - baggage checking policy?

Hi there
just spent 30 mins on phone to VA who cannot answer the question ( told me no supervisor was available to help)
if we fly AKL to BNE on VA , then ( seperate booking) BNE to SIN with SQ, will VA check the bag all the way through ?

Yes they will. I flew MEL BNE on one ticket plated to VA and then onto the BNE SIN that was on a separate booking plated to SQ.

Desk agent might have to think hard but can 110% do it for you.

It'll spit out your onward boarding passes too, however I'd have the SQ desk in Brisbane reprint them for you in BNE.

Worst case you are on NZ metal and they should play well too AS they're star alliance.

If you booked them via a travel agent, ask them to reference the bookings in the GDS with vendor remarks.
