Any speculation as to who VA will keep on board for international partners and when they'll reopen bookings?
- My guess is DL/SQ/AC/NH are probably firm core new partners. I would suspect the majority of future redemptions will be with these four airlines.
- MI is going into SQ anyway.
- HA has always been there, and probably will continue on.
- EY unless VA negotiate an exclusivity deal with SQ for Europe? They became hugely unattractive to me anyway with their reward carrier charges though for premium awards.
- HNA group airlines (Hainan, Capital, Hong Kong, Tanjin) would all be gone as no longer a shareholder partner and HKG is not going to be what it once was.
- AZ is gone anyway.
- SA maybe if they fly to Perth as they provide oncarriage east and aren't allowed to partner with QF but depends if SAA can get their act together.
