For the last couple of days when i sign in to my Velocity account it's not showing any points, and the shop & earn is not available.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

Just checked mine and it's working ok - pretty sure it was a couple of days ago as well. Maybe give them a call?

Happened to me too yesterday. I have been checking my account every couple of hours to see if my VX points have been credited yet. Twice I had no points, no level. It was sporadic. This morning - all back to normal.

Only one thing to assume - they have made you the first Lifetime Gold with DJ ;) In the process of fixing it all up. CrazyDave will be sending you a PM any moment no doubt :)

Virgin's Booking system was down yesterday afternoon till early this morning. I had no problem booking flights yesterday as well as checking in at 4ish....

Maybe something went wrong and they took it down to fix it?

I haven't had any problems with my Velocity balance but a flight I booked 2 days ago didn't attach my velocity account to the booking properly (despite bringing up all my details using the velocity number and password).

End result was my velocity number wasn't on the itinerary anywhere and it didn't add the free checked in baggage as per gold velocity like it usually does automatically - actually put me down for no checked in bags.

What was silly about it was the booking number shows up in my manage bookings when logged into my velocity account so it must have the number attached to the booking somewhere along the lines but not properly. I manually added the velocity number to the booking again which fixed the itinerary but I couldn't add free baggage via the add checked in baggage option. Wants to charge me $24 :-|

I gave up after waiting 20mins on hold to VB and velocity rewards priority number is only good if you want to make a booking, they can't help you fix bookings.

In the end I just paid the $24 because my time wasted on hold is worth more than that.

Surely when you check in at the airport and show your Gold Velocity card they'll give you the free 32kg luggage without having to do this? I wouldn't have worried about adding it to the booking - just take your confirmation, Velocity card and a print out of the website terms that say you are entitled to 32kg luggage (just in case the checkin person doesn't know the rules - although I find the Virgin staff at the airport are usually pretty good). The luggage doesn't have to be mentioned in the booking to be entitled to it.

That is how it works in my experience.

If you book a GO! fare as a VR Gold there is no mention of a free baggage allowance but it is available if you need it.
