Surely that will be one of the things addressed when Velocity is relaunched. IMO it shouldn't matter whether the flights are purchased as part of a package or not, it's still your bum in seat on a revenue (not redemption) fare.

that's what i was thinking. velocity really needs to catch up with QFF i think. Not earning on anyseat awards is a serious downside for velocity, and now that they have moved to a miles based earning system they shud be able to give miles for flights bought in a holiday package.

QFF still pays the better mileage on the cheaper fares.

Velocity have not moved to a miles based earning system for points, only for SCs when it comes to Domestic Flights.

I never understood it really. I used the service for the first time early last year (feels waay back) and I accrued SC for each of the flights (though it said 0 for normal points, owing to the fact that you got them as a seperate item on your history) and thought wow, not a bad deal. Used it again later on (about november) and discovered they had changed their minds about giving SC. I know it's not a technical thing seeing as I did get them once.

Here's hoping it gets addressed in the relaunch!
