How strict is Velocity with Family Pooling and having everyone living at the same address?

I currently family pool (as beneficiary) and live with my sister but will be moving interstate for work next month. We still want to continue to pool SC and points together but will no longer be at the same address.

How strict is Velocity with this? Would they automatically cut the family pooling arrangement when I change my address? Is it better to just keep the same address and get her to post my Gold pack (am only 40 SC away from requalifying)

Velocity seems to validate on setup but not necessarily on change. But why risk it.

I would not change it.. I never receive anything my mail except change in status pack or re order of card / baggage tags

My girlfriend and I are thinking of setting up a family pool to transfer SC's and points. Would we be eligible 'family' members if our addresses are the same in Velocity?

Here is the info from the velocity site : ( my bolding )

Family Pooling allows you to directly pool your Points, or Points and Status Credits, to an eligible family member living at the same home address. A Family Pool may consist of a maximum total of 6 eligible family members, which includes the member being pooled to. A maximum of two members of the Pool may be 18 years or over. A maximum of four members of the Pool may be under 18 years of age.

Here is the definition of eligible family member :

Eligible Family Member means any person a Member can demonstrate is related to that Member in any of the ways described as follows: husband/wife/domestic partner/de facto, parent/child, brother/sister, grandparent/grandchild, son/daughter-in-law, brother/sister-in-law, father/mother-in-law, uncle/aunt, nephew/niece, first cousin, or any foster, step or adopted relationship in any of these categories.

You would need to make your own decision if you think you comply...

If Virgin asked I would explain that we live together as a couple. Based on that, I think the pooling is fine.

From https://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/definition-partner
[h=2]Defacto relationship[/h]A defacto relationship is where 2 people who are not married or in a registered relationship, live together as a couple. You are in a defacto relationship from the time you start living together as a couple. There is no minimum time period for a relationship to be seen as defacto.

The changes to family pooling that came in from the end of April also state that:

3. Where a new Family Pool is created or an existing Family Pool is changed, the contributor will be required to specify his or her relationship to the beneficiary.

If you're actually living as a couple (at the same address), then I don't see there'd be a problem qualifying for family pooling under VA's requirements.

In the past I've had different addresses for me and my partner and it's worked, I don't believe there is a technical restriction in place just a policy, though that may have changed now.
