Velocity platinum Baggage allowance on SQ

If I purchase an economy flight through Singapore airlines, virgin don’t have the flight I want on their system, as a platinum member do I get the extra baggage, 40kg if I enter my velocity number when making the booking. Also do I get lounge access.

You will receive an additional 20kg on top of the baggage allowance determined by your fare (or simply an additional bag if travelling to the US or Brazil).


You will get access to SQ operated lounges. This includes the SilverKris lounges in Australia and the KrisFlyer Gold lounge in Singapore (the SilverKris lounge in Singapore is a tier above the KrisFlyer Gold lounge and is accessible to business class passengers and PPS club members only).
