I am flying out of HKG on SQ as a Velocity Platinum (although I only have a gold card at the moment).

Can I guest someone into the lounge flying Cathay Pacific?

I know the policy for domestic lounges allow guests not flying at all, not sure about partners (particularly SQ as they have a SilverKris lounge at HKG)

The guest must be on a Star Alliance flight AFAIK.

That is the Star Alliance policy. Of course, I do not have any Star Alliance status, so not sure that the Star Alliance policy applies. I will report back what I find!

Please do :)
I will be astonished if VA's guest policy at SQ lounges is more generous than Krisflyer / *A

Not too shocking but the rule I was told by SQ at HKG is that the guest must be on a Star Alliance flight. Doesn't have to be the same flight.

Still would be interested in any published rules on this if anyone finds them.

"The guest must enter the designated lounge with the Eligible Customer and present a boarding pass for any Star Alliance member airline operated flight departing from the local airport. For contract lounges, the guest must be flying on the same airline as the Eligible Customer." Lounge Access Policy - Star Alliance - Star Alliance

Thanks and I am sure this is the policy they are following... But Velocity is not Star Alliance status so it's questionable if it applies.

As my example above, Delta does not follow Skyteam rules for velocity member lounge access at all. But you can find those rules published.
