Hi everyone, thanks for all the advice in the other thread! I booked the flight for my girl this morning (LAX to SYD)... it was 49,000 points + $138 tax... i used 40,000 points and covered the rest with cash.
Obviously now i want to book SYD-LAX and again it is 49,000 points + $138. As of tomorrow i will have 29,000 points available. Can anyone tell me if this reaches the minimum number of points needed? I would really like to be able to do 29,000 points + $x instead of just buying the ticket out right for $750.
I know there is a minimum number of points required and a limit on the cash component of the booking but virgin said it is calculated at the time of booking and cant tell me if 29,000 is enough. Anyone got a rough idea? I was hoping anything over 55% or so would be ok
