When inputting your personal details on the UA site during an online booking, I've noticed that Virgin Blue is listed on the frequent flyer drop down menu. I am aware that Mileage Plus members can earn points when travelling on DJ from a UA connection, but I wasn't aware that Velocity members could earn points for UA flights.

Has this option just been added?

I beleive this option has been on the united website for a couple of months now, however nothing has been mentioned from velocity.

It will be interesting to see what will happen in the coming months now that virgin has aligned itself with delta.

They have just signed an interline agreement with Delta - most international airlines have these. Ie Qantas interline with Delta also.

My prediciton is UA/DJ will have reciprocal FF earning/burning and UA could pull of SYD-LAX in favour of a VA codeshare.
