Hi all

I have managed to book syd-hkg-yyz for next year using 60K Alaska miles.

I am now looking at organising flights to lhr then to hel and back lol before flying back to the land of Oz. Visit some lounges while I still have Oneworld Emerald.

On Air Canada for yyz-lhr I can see 3 business reward seats on the Air Canada site which also appear on Expert Flyer and when searching on United.
They don't appear when searching to use velocity points.
Will I be able to book this by calling Velocity?

2 other options I have for flying Air Canada are Lifemiles and SQ.
However only the economy rewards are showing on lifemiles and for SQ I am looking at getting the HSBC Star Alliance card and extending my points 12 months.

To avoid the BA surcharges another option is jfk-lhr using my velocity points for Virgin Atlantic upper class.

The Virgin Staff are helpful, so It’s worth a call. Let us know how you go.

Yes you should.

IME not everything I saw on LM was able to be found by VA agents, but most. I couldn't get YVR-NRT to show up on the website but agents found it easily enough. HUACA if no good.

Found a business reward seat on AC for yyz to lhr by checking United's website.
Called Velocity this afternoon & the agent was able to see it. 57000 pts + about $67 in taxes.
Definitely much better than the BA surcharges.
ExpertFlyer showed availability on VS for jfk to lhr.
