Velocity points on NH booked via UA

I’m booking a business class flight from CGK x/HND and ORD to GRR. The flights are on a combo of NH and UA flight numbers and will be booked via UA’s website.

The UA booking allows me to enter my velocity number but I know that there is currently no earning of VFF on NH. Does anyone know if I’ll get credit or should I just credit elsewhere.

Thanks for your thoughts.

a business class flight
When is the flight?

I think there are discussions between NH and VA about an expanded codeshare relationship. You may be able to wait until then depending on when your flight

Otherwise none but you could salvage a few FF points if you put a KrisFlyer number in there

Join SQ KF and then transfer the points to VFF.
You do lose a bit, about 35% in the transfer of points from SQ KF to VFF and vv.

Just enter what you can earn now e.g. United or whichever you prefer.

If a better offer comes up later for Velocity before you fly, you can change it then. But you don't have to worry about changing it to something else if it doesn't.
