Hi,
Next year I am looking at flying to the US in business class on Air New Zealand (as it's a lot cheaper than Virgin / Delta).
One of the USA internal flights is on Virgin America and lists the flight number as the actual VX flight (see routing info below).
Hence, I believe this isn't a codeshare flight and it's just "re-sold" by Air New Zealand.

Looking at the Velocity website, I wouldn't receive points/status credits if the Virgin America flight was a codeshare as it's not operated by Air New Zealand.

However, I think I would get the points/status credits ... Can anyone to confirm?

Routing is:
OUT: Perth - Auckland (NZ176) Auckland San Francisco (NZ8)
BACK: Las Vegas - San Francisco (VX919) San Francisco - Auckland (NZ7) Auckland - Perth (NZ175)

A VX-coded flight operated by Virgin America will (eventually) credit to Velocity.
