This one is quite good if you're flying these routes, on the shorter routes it makes any fares more than $83 comparable to the QF 1,000 pts minimum earn, and certainly quite lucrative on flexi-saver & above fare types. Velocity> Specials

Has anybody seen these bonus points come through on their account yet?

don't you love the thrills of chasing up missing ff points! :)

cheers
james

Had two CBR-MEL sectors in the period of the promotion. Base points and promotional bonus came through without a hitch.

I got the 'you are registered' message when I logged on to register and ensure I would get double points for my SYD-PER flight.

So far the base points have been credited but the bonus points are yet to appear.

I might have to add it to the swag of points I have to chase up.
I'm getting over all these partners luring customers on the promise of bonus points and in some cases I am still chasing the base points.

:-(

Glad to hear i'm not the only one with problems. Maybe they had some problems with their registration software?

I called last week and they said they had to verify with Virgin that I had actually registered - unfortunately they wont just take my word on it.

Note to self.....ALWAYS print out a copy of the "You are registered" screen for proof later when the points dont appear.

Cheers
James

As a follow up, in case anyones interested, I had a call from Velocity saying that the promotion (fly between 12th-31st March) required that tickets be purchased after 8th March to qualify. Mine were purchased on 6th March, so I miss out :( Maybe the same situation for you jad01?

ah well. I dont remember seeing that fine print, but dont have a copy of the T&C's so cant really argue.

Fingers crossed for some more of these bonus points promotions in the near future.

cheers
james

I am a little particular about reading the fine print because I know there is usually a catch somewhere.
BUT, after reading the conditions on the double points promotion I certainly did not see that one about booking dates.
Subsequently that makes me ineligible for that promotion.

I am really going cold on Velocity now as all these bonus points and special offers are all good and well to lure your business to their partners.
The partners are not as good at honoring their promise.
At the moment I have nearly 10,000 points I am still chasing up from various partners.
I cant imagine me getting away with going into a hotel, booking a premium room and promising to pay them later and never coughing up with the money.....they would be chasing me with vigor.
