Velocity points to upgrade

Hi

does anyoen know if you can use Velocity points to upgrade a fligth with Vaust.

Am hopign they would allow the upgrade from Y to PE.

Not been able to find anythign for or against it.

I asked their rep last week and was told a redemption seat, which I booked with points for a trip in January, wasn't upgradeable for points, cash or a combination of points and cash.

If you're flying Mel-LA direct after 1st December, check if they're going to fly directly outbound on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and returning only on 2 days a week. One of my trips is fine, but for the Easter school holidays, I need to look into things further. Unfortunately my accom dates are prepaid in full and the accom's dates can't be moved.

Sorry, not available yet. We are looking into it as we are aware it is a favoured usage of points by members.

Dave, while I am sure you have done the right research, I will add that the ONLY thing I have used my QFF points for in the last 6 years has been flight upgrades, both domestic and international. I have probably spent 500,000+ points on upgrades in that time (80,000 in the last month for 2 x B->J upgrades HKG-BNE). So for some people (ok, I may not be "normal" or "average" when it comes to FF members), flight upgrades are a highly desirable redemption.

I have to agree with NM. I don't exclusively use points for upgrades though that is where the vast majority of my points go.

I'm hoping to burn a stack of points on a F redemption next year, but up until now I've almost exclusively used points to upgrade.

Same here. IF i could use points to upgrade on international sectors i'd do it in a flash.
