Velocity redemption discounts

Earlier this year Velocity was offering 30% off redemption bookings and I got a great deal booking flights. Does anyone know whether Velocity do this on a regular or semi-regular basis and if so roughly how often?

It was the first time I'd seen that offer in my time (2017-ish to now), but others will have longer memories

I have seen a couple of promos like this from Velocity, but they don't seem to happen more than about once per year.

Before the offer earlier this year, Virgin was offering 30% off J redemptions for several months during 2020 when the J product had basically no catering. Before that, I can recall a 30% discount promo on reward bookings in 2018:

Having a look at VA rewards this morning, the pricing appears to be... well... interesting. I won't say too much more but if you have some VA points you want to spend, you might want to head over to their website now...
