So I guess the question is, will they announce it before, or after August 24th?

Its a good position to be in for Virgin. Qantas takes away, they give more.

Could it possibly be linked in with the Coles Group? Is Coles planning a revamp of Fly Buys around a similar time?

Seems that Woolies and QANTAS are working together well.

Have an Amex Velocity card on my desk to activate so I am hoping Virgin Australia can finally get their act together. I know it takes time and money.

I'd announce it just after Qantas, as Noob says, great positioing to have Qantas talking about reducing, rationalising and then Virgin can tailor their message to how they are improving and expanding and more to come etc...

My bet is the 24th the same day Qantas start an emotional breakdown , and it is a Wednesday, and Virgin seem to be announcing all there new stuff On Wednesdays, and there birthday is on a Wednesday as well (31st).
