Hi All,
Just wondering if i could get some advice.
I have 150,000 points in Velocity and 120,000 points in Qantas.
My wife, son (infant) and I will be travelling (hopefully) to the US from Adelaide via Sydney/Melbourne etc leaving on September 25th and returning October 25th (depart LA 25th land Aust. 27th)
Current Options are:
Book 2 PE tickets one way to or from the US with my Velocity and then buy a 1 way ticket for each of us.
Qantas is showing a crazy route (eg adl-syd-mel-lax) so im struggling to find any seats with Qantas on either dates.
I have the option of getting transferred to me 150k in QFF points in exchange for my 150 velocity points (yes im aware of the 100k transfer limit) but as Im only bronze for QFF, i know it is harder for me to get seats. Im happy for return economy with Qantas if seats are available but on a more direct route and not via Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific.
My preference is to fly with Virgin as i have 9 other family members all flying Virgin Business class on this trip (lucky them!) so i have considered redeeming a business one way ticket for my wife and son (need a few more points though
) and then i fly economy 
Or if anybody would like my QFF points in exchange for Velocity points that would be great!
