Just picked up my boarding pass for CNS-BNE to find printed as my Velocity status as "Silver B". Any ideas what the B is for? New status levels or???

Interesting. I'm still a Red member, so I'll be sure to look carefully at what mine says at the weekend and report back.

Last time I flew I noticed that my status read Gold B. Wondered what that meant myself. Tried Googling but to no avail.

Gold B***ard?
Gold B*l*ax

Maybe it's Virgin having a laugh at our expense? I have no more flights until July so I cannot comment on what it means?

Hmm, this totally depends on the airport, and the way you checked in. AFAIK.

IE. Carboard Boarding Passes at OOL, don't display status, Checkin Kiosk Does.

SYD Cardboard Boarding Passes use to not, now they do. So its constantly changing.

My most recent boarding passes have said Velocity Gold... so a recent update must have changed it. Next time I have a chat with VA Cabin Crew, I'll bring it up and see what they've noticed.

Could the fact that the Virgin reps haven't clarified this mystery mean that it is indeed connected to the top secret Velocity revamp? The plot thickens...

I've seen this on occasion, and could swear I have had two different letters after "Velocity Gold" on there...

I just assumed it refered to the type of fare I was flying on...

Ditto. (whistles Dixie to make up minimum character count)

Using web check-in my boarding pass just reads:

Velocity Number: xx_x Red

Maybe it indicates that Silver and Gold members earn Bonus points for miles flown?
Cheers
