This may be more to do with Etihad than Velocity, but scored 2 x first class @ 60k velocity points for LHR to DXB, plus 2 x economy from DXB to SIN @ 25k points, both on Etihad. Did not expect in my dreams to get first class redemption seats on a partner airline.

The fees & taxes were pretty savage - about $330 each for LHR - DXB. Still ... can't complain. Going to be dreadful swapping back from first to economy.

Also found the Velocity call centre folks really nice to talk to, very patient and helpful. Pity about the 45 minute wait to get in, though.

Do you mean AUH (on EY/Etihad)?

Or DXB (on EK/Emirates)? Still, 60k velocity is pretty good for LHR-AUH/DXB in F on either carrier.

Yes, you are right Abu Dhabi.

Going via Dhubai in the other direction....

Good find for F, I'm in Y on Air Asia KUL-STN for $233 + $15 for an EK First amenity kit and $10 for BA First PJ's off ebay.

Well done. How did you manage to get first class seats? Did they upgrade you or were you redeeming at a discount?
