I wanted to say that I was very surprised to receive my replacement Platinum card today - inside a week of re-qualification!

I just returned from a CX business trip - the last 2 flights only posted on my QFF account on Tuesday 6th and I got my new Platinum card in the mail today (9th).

Given my renewal date was at the end of this month, I'm kind of thinking that I did not qualify for the "comp" (I recall others hinting at this being granted at 6-8 weeks prior to renewal)
Strangely enough, I earned 1560 SC for the past 2 years running.
And when I think that about a year ago, I was a lowly SG waiting to return home to "make" WP. Never mind I was involuntarily "rocking" in Tokyo, hidden inside the Sakura J lounge watching the Tsunami and Nuclear reactor explosions on Japanese TV. (I didn't qualify for WP until the last leg after fleeing Tokyo).

Anyway, I do seem to recall cards taking much longer to get out to me (my first SG took a long time to arrive), so I'm very surprised at the speed that QF got my card to me :)

That may have answered a question I was going to pose Zippy7. :)

The SO is planning flights to retain SG around 7 May, given she is off on a Euro trip early June. Her membership year finishes 31 May, so from your post it would seem the replacement SG card may well reach her prior to departure for Europe (that is the wish/plan anyway). It's always reassuring to have the actual valid card on you when travelling, just in case you run into some picky lounge guardians.
