Hi all, my partner is currently VFF Gold. Her account shows the following activity for the last 12 months:

1 eligible sector
381 status credits (250 of which were from Virgin Flyer Card)

The above figures are correct.

However, the dashboard on the Virgin and Velocity apps show (and have shown for some time):

720 status credits
74 status credits and 3 more eligible sectors by 30/9/23 to maintain gold (should be 19)
280 status credits and 5 more eligible sectors by 30/9/23 to upgrade to platinum (should be 619 & 7 sectors)

I recall that Velocity were gifting status credits and carrying them over/extending their expiry during COVID, but thought had long since finished and cannot find any reference to recent gifts/extensions.

Does anyone know what's going on (other than cough Virgin IT!)? Will the platinum upgrade figures be honoured?

TIA.

Impossible to tell with so little info of your &/or partners flying and many other circumstances, FB with Coles etc.

I'd suggest giving them a call if your unsure.

Apologies, I thought I had given more than sufficient information, but I have updated the post to show that the top figures are correct.

No need to apologise.

What I have noticed is the VA2 FLIGHT app and the Velocity app often display different / slightly lagged information to each other for some reason, but I've never seen such a severe difference as yours.... weird.

Unfortunately, a call to the Velocity might be required.....

The larger number of status credits is the running total in the last 12 months. The confusion comes because status credits from 12 months ago are dropping off that total continually (so if you earned 20 SC precisely 12 months ago, then tomorrow if you look again your total SC will fall by this number). For requalifcation as SG by 30/09/23 in your partner's case, you can only count SCs earned after 30/09/22, and that is what the "Maintain Gold Status" status ring is showing.

On my dashboard, there is a little bit of information as follows, which is a guide to when my SCs are dropping off:

Thanks. I included figures above for the last 12 months, but didn't include figures since 1 October, so that explains the maintain gold status figures. However, it doesn't explain the current status credit figure of 720 (it might explain it if it was the figure for the last 2 years or so), nor does it explain the platinum upgrade figures - status credits required of 280 relates to the incorrect current status credit figure of 720 and I have no idea where the eligible sector figure of 5 comes from.
