I thought I'd share these Travel POVs from certain family members - made me and Mrs Here2go laugh.

Mother-in-law: I avoid flying Virgin unless the timetable makes sense, as they don't pressurise their cabins as much as Qantas do. (She just hopped off a 737-800 with a cold BNE-DRW, but does do a lot of flying) :)

Brother Here2go: I don't use travel agents - they're all out there to rip you off. (and in the same breath) I'm currently waiting on a price match quote from Webjet.

Has anybody else heard any a bit odd like this? I'm sure we'd all love to hear it.

Lots of people: "Why would you join one of those frequent flyer programs? You never earn enough points to go anywhere." (My response: "do you use a credit card at all?" Answer usually: "yes". Enough said.)

A neighbour who's a retiree mentioned that they were going to book their tickets to ADL that day. I asked them if they needed any help doing the booking on the internet to avoid the TA fees.

Answer "no it's okay we just go down to the local Flight Centre, we're pretty happy with them".

Living in rural NSW my mother often takes the train to Sydney. Even though she's a prolific online shopper - she still drives into town to book the Countrylink rail ticket from the local agent.
