I have two suggestions. The better one involves spending some more coin though. Go buy the "read deal" version. Setup a double blind tasting and report back on the results.
Otherwise, crack a bottle and see if you like it. Assess it and see if its cellarable or not yourself. Try not to have preconceived ideas that its not what it should be. It really comes down to liking it or not.
