TOLL HOLDINGS' plan to offload its 62 per cent stake in Virgin Blue has received a lukewarm response, with Singapore Airlines already ruling itself out as a bidder and Emirates playing down rumours it is interested in the domestic airline.
Singapore Airlines flatly rejected that it had any interest in the carrier yesterday.
"We're not interested in purchasing Virgin Blue, as we've said many times before," Singapore Airlines's head of corporate affairs, Stephen Forshaw, said.

I think the best thing that can happen to DJ is they get bought by a big player that can integrate them into a decent global alliance instead of all the tier 3 and 4 airlines they are hooked up with at the moment.
