I dont have the details to hand and they are not on the web yet in the press releases or baggage section but apparently they are changing!

They were announced in Travel Daily yesterday - first bag fee for Saver Light doubles from $15 to $30 domestic and to $55 for trans-Tasman and interntiona short haul.

Interesting that baggage allowances are now exactly the same for Silver and Gold member on Domestic flights, and exactly the same for Silver.

Seems better for Silver but possible slightly worse for gold?

You obviously have not looked closely at said avatar!

It's been that way for a very long time, and as explained to me was a nickname for the old Virgin Blue around these parts as he tried to turn the tide... surely he'd be proud now ;) but back then he worked for them, and I don't think he does anymore...

Actually was rather proud of my graphic design work on the avatar. BTW I also designed the palm tree logo on the tail of the former Polynesian Blue aircraft - the trunk and fronds were actually composed from the Virgin Blue boomerang/swoosh, stretched, rotated and stitched together - all on a steam driven version of PowerPoint back in the day when Virgin was a lowish cost carrier. Don't know how much the ad agency charged to photocopy it and send back to the Virgin Blue marketing department for approval. But yes, maybe time to find something more befitting my present station in life.
