Taxes and fuel surcharges come to just under $1100. All up $1450-$1550 depending on routing.

Australia to HKG it's CX or QF, or you can use MU to PVG.

There's also a routing of MEL DEL with AI but I've had no luck finding availability in my brief search. There's also BNE LAX with VA mentioned, but when I attempt to quote it up, I run into a number of errors.
