The relevant page on the Velocity Rewards website has also been updated..:

What you get access to..:
Singapore Airlines owned and operated SilverKris lounges worldwide plus the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Changi Airport, Singapore^^

What you need for access..:
You and a guest on presentation of Gold card and boarding pass for same day travel on Singapore Airlines

The ^^ bit is re. flying with SilkAir; no access is granted (though it's not clear whether that means no access to the KrisFlyer Gold lounge at SIN or no access to any lounge at all when flying SilkAir).

Interesting that Velocity Gold gets you in to the KrisFlyer Gold lounge -- correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this something above and beyond what's allowed for *G?

No same as * gold. At SIN, * golds (including SQ elite golds) get relegated to inferior KF Gold lounges (no shower/toilet facilities). Only J & F passengers and PPS members get access to the better Silver Kris lounges. Like star gold, it seems people travelling on Silkair will not be permitted lounge access - anywhere.

Ohhhh, now I get it. For some reason I thought the SilverKris lounge was the inferior lounge. Thanks! :)

Shame about the SilkAir bit; going to have to watch out for codeshares. Hello someone at Virgin Australia, could the wording please be updated to make it very clear whether access is granted or not (while you're at it, please clear up the wording for EY lounge access; it's hard to determine what's allowed and where).

I'd love some SYD lounge access on Pacific Blue before mid-August... any lounge will do.

I'd love some BNE lounge access on Pacific Blue on Wed.... any lounge will do.

Damn right the KF Gold Lounge in T3 is a shocker - if you want a shower you gotta hike off to other end of terminal to Ambassador Lounge and use your PP to access.
