Not being a regular VB user I wondered if anyone knew any info about VB's fleet. I may be doing a few Syd-GCoast shuttle flights over the next few months and may need their services.

Do they have just 737-700 & 800's? Also is there anywhere on their website that lists what type of aircraft is on each flight?

i could not se this info on their site.

Thanks. :)

Yes Virgin Blue has just 737-700s and 737-800s. Some of both types are equipped with the wing tips and some without so you can't tell at a glance whether you are looking at 700 or 800 by the wing tips alone!

The 700 is shorter and has one over wing emergency exit. The longer 800 has two over wing exits.

The Virgin 737s, at least the earlier ones, had engines rated at a lower power output than the Qantas 737-800s.

The very early aircraft delivered have a bulk head at the front left in most the front left row is open so sitting in 1A you are right by the front left door and grinning facing at the cabin crew when they are seated for landing/take off...
