Well not really. Why would they make a joke of a product they already offer?

Just saw: surcharge of $3 per person one way is applicable for flights within Australia. Fares are correct as at March 31st, 2008 and are subject to change. All sale fares are on sale until 6pm Tuesday 1st April or until sold out for travel between 02nd August to 30th August 2008. Sale is not valid on Premium Economy fares.

I was wondering what April Fools joke Virgin Blue were going to do this year! They've done one the last few years - I remember previously there was one where they introduced some completely bizarre new destination.

Slightly o/t - I received the following April Fools joke email from Mini this morning which was quite humourous...

Following the launch of the all new MINI Countryman, some Countrywomen's groups have pointed out that maybe the name is not as PC as it should be.

So from now on it will be known as the Countryperson.

The permanent four-wheel-drive option is now replaced by the perpersonent four-wheel-drive and maximum safety levels will be referred to as maxiparent safety levels.
