I am trying to get some virgin domestic flighs with the small amount of Krisflyer points that my kids and wife have that are about to expire. They have about 15500 each - enough for a one way flight such as Hobart to Adelaide - 11000 points required. I have heaps of points that I am using on international stuff.
However put requests in via fax and they emailed me to say there are no reward flights.
How do we find these things out. You cant find this out even on Expertflyer. The whole frequent flyer points industry should be investigated as it is just a pain in the butt and they dont really offer what they try to portray.
I have enough points for J flights - but they are never available for four . Never had success with that. Can get two but never four.
Whats the point when you are a family of four.
I have managed to book in Y from Adelaide to Sin to DXB to EBB in Uganda at the end of the year - but could not get any business flights.
I have to still book our return. It looks like it will be Y again as business for a family seems to be an elusive dream.
