Doing a semi status run…syd to hba via Melb and rerun also via Melbourne…

Flew down got my double sc’s for the business class flight down, yet have cancelled me to a direct flight hba/syd as Mel/syd flight was cancelled.

Couple of questions. What form of compensation will I receive, I believe the cost difference of business to economy…but which economy fare?…i obv would t be happy with flex fare.

Secondly this return leg would have gotten me to just over1000 sc achieving platinum. I will call velocity in the morning once back in Sydney however wondering what should I expect, especially regarding the double sc I had planned for and now being short.(return flight was going to net me an extra 220 sc as booked during double sc promotion)

Cheers

If you were involuntarily downgraded, I would expect the fare difference and the ORC.

Good question. I would expect the lowest available either at the time of your booking or on the day. I would be interested in understanding the outcome here; please share.

You can email them with a copy of your flown BP and Booking Reference to VFF Gold Member Support <[email protected]>

I am sure they will reinstate your Original Routing Credit (ORC).

I have found VA to play a fair ball game.

Update...finally after 2 weeks they rectified the SC issue and received the appropriate sc i would have received originally.

Regarding a credit for flight downgrade they have not reached out at all to me which i find surprising and thought would kinda happen automatically. When ive called to date i predominantly enquired about the sc's, when i questioned some form of credit they said i have to speak to a different department...will let you know
