Hi, I am Han in Sydney.

First of all, I have been getting lots of good information from Australian Frequent Flyers.
I would like to thank you for your posting and helping other customers who are in trouble.

My issue is with an award ticket issued by Velocity points.
This January, I managed to book an award ticket with my velocity points on the website.
My flight would be from Montreal (YUL) to Seattle (SEA) with Air Canada's business class on October, 2022.
I needed to adjust the date. So I called the velocity contact centre and asked them to change my date.
I was informed that my request was completed. And I got the confirmation email from velocity.
However, when I retrieved my booking on Air Canada website my booking was not able to be recognized.

I called velocity several times and they always said my ticket is secured and all is good.
But according to an agent from Air Canada, my ticket is not able to be located.

I called Velocity many many times and talked to them but all I can get is the confirmation email from Velocity.

My concern is the actual carrier is Air Canada and they cannot see my ticket. How can I fly ?

According to the velocity agent, I am not the only one customer suffering from this issue.
He has tickets operated by Air Canada and Singapore airlines and recently adjusted their booking. This issue is quite common and they are trying to resolve this issue.

However, I have been waiting for a solution for this issue for almost half a year now.

Still under the Air Canada website, my booking cannot be recognized and I am quite sick of calling to velocity people and having the same conversation over and over.

Can you please give me any advices for this issue ?

Thank you kindly.

@Mattg is this the problem you raised earlier this year?

Han, does the virgin booking contain another booking number or reference that could be the air Canada booking reference? Different airlines often use different booking references.

Thank you @Mattg, for the reply.

I checked Air Canada website with the confirmation code for Air Canada which is not for the Virgin search.

Cheers.

So It worked and all seems ok?
Unfortunately no.
With the confirmation code for Air Canada, I cannot locate this booking under Air Canada website.

So this is the problem.
With velocity confirmation, I can see this booking under velocity.
With Air Canada confirmation which is supplied from velocity, this booking is not be able to be recognised under Air Canada website.

I have a ticket issued by Aeroplan for travel on VA. While i can at least access the booking, everything else is blocked… can’t even select seats. Not surprised there are issues going in reverse.
