Design advice
The illustration used for the $3.00 stamp design from the Christmas Island Airport- 50 Years stamp issue uses aspects of the Virgin Atlantic livery as well as Virgin Australia for the featured Airbus A320.
But why use both VS and VA? Weird. It notes it on the Australia Post website: Christmas Island Airport – 50 Years
I think it was likely a mistake by the artist, and it was either too late or too costly to correct. I highly doubt it was intentional. Perhaps they were searching up "Virgin logo", "Virgin aircraft tail" etc. to get reference images for their drawing, not realising that they're looking at the wrong Virgin. But why use both VS and VA? Weird.

Per flightradar VA's flight to XCH is one of their subfleet of VARA A320s.Also per that AP note, an A320 - only flown by Jetstar and QantasLink in Australia for now.
Pretty much exactly as it happened. Artist error and not checked correctly before printing and then too costly/too late to fixI think it was likely a mistake by the artist, and it was either too late or too costly to correct. Maybe they had to get permission to use the logo, and that's the one they were given permission to use.Pretty much exactly as it happened. Artist error and not checked correctly before printing and then too costly/too late to fix
