Virgin lounge access - one day.

My wife is flying to LAX on Thursday with VA to use up a heap of points. She is in PE, and I'm wondering if she has, or can get lounge access? She is virgin silver. Can you buy a day pass for the international lounge in sydney?

PE on TT services only will get access into the koru club in SYD without guest. Based on VA PS status she will not be able to get lounge access on the way back at LAX.

My understanding is that lounge access for premium economy guests travelling on VA is only available for trans-tasman services.

I transited MEL last year on a VA PE ticket, flying AKL-MEL-LAX. Lounge access in MEL was granted by virtue of my VFF WP status. Another pax on the same route who was in the AKL Koru Club at the same time as us was turned away from the MEL Koru Club.

However, you can apparently buy a Koru Club pass at the door. I have not done this personally and nor can I find it advertised on the NZ website.
