Hello All,

I am a new member and have recently join the AFF. Great site and learning a lot.. My travel is and will be ramping up a lot with Domestic and international Travel particularly to Asia.

I have been a Qantas Club member before and tried to rejoin after about a year off they wanted to hit me with another joining fee! So I now am thinking about flying VA for domestic travel.. I have been into the old Virgin Blue Lounge a few times when it was a pay as you go structure but haven't been in after the new branding.

What's are peoples view on VA lounge vs Qantas at the moment as I don't want to really join both at the moment.

Many thanks

Trumbo.

Welcome to AFF Trumbo!

I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I think the Virgin lounges are quite good but obviously smaller than Qantas Lounges and also fewer lounges at airports around Australia although this would not be an issue if you flew out of major airports and not regional airports.

Hi Trumbo,

Welcome to AFF. :D

The Virgin lounges are pretty good though there are not as many of them. You need to see that they are at the airports you are to frequent.

There is also Qantas Club access available via the AFF Corporate program.

See here: Need to find a Qantas Club corp. program
