Hi all,

Can anyone point me to a link showing the fees for overweight baggage (> 23kg)?

I'm plat travelling with a 24.5kg bag, and just wondering what fees I'm likely to get hit with (I assume they're fairly strict on this)?

Thanks,

Luis

If you're platinum and only have one bag, they should be savvy enough to just let it through without a blink.
Then again...

But that doesn't list the price per kg from 23-32kg (as they state no piece may be more than 32kg but the allowance for Y is 23kg).

Last line - the overweight fee is a flat $40. So if you're going overweight, make sure you do it properly :p.

Its the overweight fee ($40 down the bottom)

Thanks, totally missed that!

Unfortunately it's a bit of equipment so can't really break it up. Seems a little excessive for 1.5kg - hopefully they'll let it through, otherwise back to QF and 32kg limit!

Just an update on this - didn't get charged a fee in either direction, so very happy with service so far (bag ended up being 24.1kg).

A check-in staff member told me he was fairly relaxed about this. He told me if I only had one case and it was a few kgs over he'd waive it, but he stressed that was him (suggesting it's at the discretion of the staff member involved and may not always be the case).
