Hi,
I am interested to know if VA outsource the handling of their upgrades. I put a bid in when I booked months ago for a flight in December. I’ve had an email stating they are unable to process it due to a credit card error and to click on a link. The email address is [email protected]. Plus grade website lists a host of airlines they manage upgrades for, including VA. I’m just wary because of all the hacks, spoofing etc. What do people think?

They outsource it.

Like they outsource the inflight WiFi that has not worked for years.

It is a hopeless system.

I was invited to bid for an upgrade today for a 100% full flight CNS-SYD on Sunday, that shows Biz as totally sold out right now. I made the lowest possible bid for both pax, added card, they accepted it, and it is a waste of all our time of course.

There is zero common sense involved.

On a flight with 4 biz seats unsold sure it makes sense to pimp for paid upgrades. But when flights are 100% full 2 days out it just smacks of desperation .....
