Just came across this, very rare that I look at visa perks available, should probably check more often...

Visa Offers and Perks | Visa

15% off Best Flexible Rate (BFR) for Visa cardholders at participating IHG properties in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Maldives, Laos, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Islands

I haven't reviewed how genuine the advertised discount is, as I'm not yet currently looking to book any IHG stays - I'm probably not one to book the BFR rate either - but this runs until 30 June for stays through to 4 July 2023.

Nice one. I occasionally look at the VISA Signature offers (they send me emails - but usually high end stuff).

Edit: Looks like you can use Corp code 787060609 from the regular booking page/app to get the visa discount.

Does this work for any visa card or only certain ones?

Thanks I have an ANZ issued Black Visa so should be good.

TBH, they often don't actually check - especially if it's pay at the hotel on checkout!

I saw another (more specific) VISA offer for Accor. Posted the details here:

Be careful following any LoyaltyLobby IHG links. It will add the LL Travel Agent IATA code to your browser which means they get a hefty commission every time you make future bookings. You need to remove all IHG cookies from your browser to fully remove the commission and Travel Agent booking arrangement.

The link at post #1 takes you there still

Or just the Corp code at post #3.

Further question for the floor. Does anyone know if this is an eligible rate for confirmable suite upgrades? TIA

Visa card discount is great I saved 20% on 3000 euro of bookings in europe so thats 600Euro to spend on holiday. All fully refundable 3 days before stay

Some of the hotels also allow purchase of bonus points on those rates. They were all higher than 0.5US cents but helpful for me to reach diamond.

I use American Airlines American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping: Shop Online & Earn Miles to book my rooms as you can get 1.5 to 2.5 miles/USD in additon to usual IHG points, and I just rebooked to get 4miles/USD (first time I have ever seen this). AA miles are hard to get so I prefer these to Qantas. Worth having as I booked 85,000 AA miles business to Europe AKL-BER plus $70USD on Qatar

I hope to use use suite upgrades so will report back if they work with the visa rates july 2025 (per post #15)

For regular paid stays (non-corporate or special rates/codes) the AA shopping portal is great. But you have to weigh up the benefit of the AA miles compared to the opportunity cost of other discounts or rebates etc.

Alas I am in NZ and the best I can get here is 2 % and I do not want to run up small $ balances via Rakuten or similar so American airlines is better and I prefer them anyway for good value redemptions, not that I earn many this way.
