Do you have a link for it.

Just use the main booking engine, prices are appearing - lots of availability even for very short notice (ie one week).

Not surprising since I've heard they've had quite low loads SYD-HKG recently

I got the email as well. I did not read the fine print. Does anyone know if the economy fares are eligible to earn VS Flying Club miles. For some reason I keep thinking the lower fare classes are not mileage earning.

Yet I could not get an economy award seat HKG-SYD for dates I wanted in June, October or December/January. In fact most of June and July was totally blocked out.

Economy sale fares book into X class and earn miles and VS tier points.

Sale does not apply to journeys ex HKG, I was referring to loads ex SYD.

Does that mean that the loads SYD-HKG are quite low and the loads HKG-SYD are quite high?
Not necessarily. I expect it means they believe they can sell fares originating in HKG without the need for special discounts at this point in time.
