(I figured this was appropriate for the playground, rather than the Qantas FF area)

We flew SIN-BNE on QF52 last night (sweet 3-class 747, with J, Y+, and Y), up in seats 13J & K, and 16K. One of the J FAs flew us on the A330 BNE-SIN on 17/4, and remembered us (the chocolates - thanks Bossreggie - and Little Miss help us to be memorable travellers!). She was great, though it's such a short flight compared to SIN-LHR or BNE-LAX. :p

Anyway, when I left SIN, I had 110 SCs to get to WP. That flight will earn me 120 SCs, so I'm anxiously waiting for them to arrive in my account. I'm hoping they will come through tonight or VERY early tomorrow, as I have a Y+ to J upgrade request on QF15 tomorrow. I think the flight is jam-packed in all classes, but I can still hope. Y+ will be a bit of a come down after starting the week in J on the A380. ;)

Random aside, I hope to do a full TR or make some comments further, but I am so grateful to the attentive and caring QF FAs on our LHR-SIN flight, and also to doctors who are willing to help out passengers in-flight. My FIL was very unwell leaving LHR, and became rapidly worse in flight. He wasn't so bad on the ground that we thought we should delay, but became quickly worse after leaving LHR. The FAs noticed he wasn't well, talked to us, MIL, provided oxygen, a lucozade style drink, etc, and found a doctor to check him out (gastro, docs in Singapore reckon it was food poisoning), and organised a wheelchair for him on arrival at SIN. The CSM was also great in providing recommendations for a nearby hospital/medical centre in SIN, and FIL spent the two days in hospital.
I was pretty sure that neither of them were on our flight, but I did check to see if the doctor looked like DrRon or Princess Fiona. Am quite sure he wasn't Princess Fiona, and fairly sure he wasn't DrRon.

Congrats! Good to hear it all worked out. Hope the points come through soon - I'm still waiting on a domestic sector to credit from a few days ago, which seems very weird (NGCI and all). Fingers crossed for you.

FWIW, when I had finally crossed the threshold to WP, I had to wait a few weeks for some typically slow SCs to come over from LAN, resulting in missing out on WP privileges on at least two trips in the interim. A bit frustrating to say the least, but then again, it's only really a lounge and a slightly greater chance of getting points/operational upgrade, right? :)

Look forward to the TR.

Great news!! Hope your FIL is on the mend and glad to hear good things about the medical profession for a change ;)
Welcome to the WP set, despite our occasional whinges it's still a very nice status to have.
Now to keep it ;)

SCs for my SIN-BNE flight posted after I arrived in SAC, so I didn't get to experience the flagship lounge at T4 on Sat, though my upgrade came through.
I am however now in the flagship lounge, waiting for a free shower & enjoying some dinner snacks before QF16 boards in an hour or so.

Love just being handed a wifi card, as I couldn't get one over on the "other side" on Sat.
i'm waiting on an upgrade on points to J, but I reckon if it hasn't happened yet, then it won't happen.

Interestingly, on my AA flight, I was still listed on my boarding card as OW Sapphire, not Emerald. I guess it takes a bit more time for that info to flow through? Not that status matters much on an Embraer RJ. :p
