Is anyone able to have a look and tell me what chances I have to get this sector come through as a confirmed economy seat please?

Flight is QF051 departing 23:00 local Singapore time

SYD - SIN is not a issue

Ticket is for a elderly lady

She has to be on that flight or not travel at all

Seatcounter: QF51 showing Y 3 from SIN-BOM, not sure why she's waitlisted? IS it on a RTW fare (I would think not given the scenario you describe).

Also J6 so there's still a few seats left on the a/c.

How often does this get updated & since the booking is waitlisted, any way of knowing how many people before you in the queue if discounted economy does become available?

Being a pensioner, she prefers if she can get discounted economy

What fare class has been purchased? When showing Y3, I would expect anything less than B or maybe H is not going to clear. If she must be on that flight then buy a Y fare and have it confirmed.

Exactly. Don't risk losing the flihgt in hope for a cheaper booking class.

Occasionally closer to dep date you'll see those 3 seats drop into many booking classes (sometimes as low as O), but the slim chance of this doesn't warrant waiting.
