please help me, I am searching the history of FrequentFlyer in Australia, when did it come into Australia? Anything special since it came in Australia?

Well you really need to look a little at the history of Qantas as an airline. The current Qantas FF program came about due to the merger of Qantas and Australian Airlines back in April 1993. At that time, Australian Airlines FF program had been around for about 3 years and its Flight Deck membership program for a lot longer than that.

What type of information are you looking for?

thx for ur reply:)

coz i found in 1986 Qantas have become an international partner of AAdvantage, and AAdvantage is kind of Frequent Flyer program, so Qantas join the Frequent Flyer should be in 1986. I want to know anything pecial in that year? like wat reward can Qantas give to passenger, and after that Qantas has introduce any very sucessful offer for passenger?

I really don't understand that it is that you want :?: :?: :?:

I came to be a QF FF member from the Australian Airlines side of the fence, so can't help with anything from QF before the 1993 merger.

You know, there is something called the world wide web that sometimes has a little bit of information. For example I was wondering about the history of frequent flyer schemes and so I entered.........let's say........uh, "history of frequent flyer" in this funny sounding website called Google.

Guess what happened? About 14,000 hits were recorded and this was one of them:

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=249321

Now, it may not have all the answers or deal with the specific query in mind but it IS a start.

There are things called 'links' on this site that direct you to some more relevant websites. Apparently this term was named after Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp, whereby he and 999 other chimps sat at computers and evenutally discovered the world wide web. Some people believe they also wrote some Shakespeare but that is just silly.

Good luck with the research, oh Joyful Jocelyn.
