I need 21 status credits to maintain Velocity Platinum and I live in Perth. Does anyone have any suggestions on earning SC's other than flying please? Thanks in advance :)

The most obvious is spend $1k at Coles/Liqourland for 10 SC. +/- family pooling.
The timeframe in which you need the SC ? - Current VA sale fares ex PER with travel from 1 March.

1. Fly Buys, but note:
- you've just missed the cutoff for January, so the earliest you'll get the status credits is March
- there's a limit of 10 status credits per month (except during specified promo periods like December last year)

2. Apply for the Amex Velocity Platinum Card (American Express) and meet the spend requirements to earn 100 SCs

I know you said you don't want to fly to earn said status but there here's one flight that could fit the bill in March that's a same day turn:

I'm not sure if that tickets into a Lite or Choice fare, but even if it tickets into Lite you would earn 28 status credits from the flight (7 status credits each way given it's between 751-1500 miles) but also there's that double status credit promotion which brings you up to 28 status credits. Unsure if that timeline works for you but certainly something to consider

Yes I am aware of Fly Buys and actually earned 33 SC's in Dec during the promotion. There will be a few more in Jan but not enough. I am ineligible for an Amex card because I have one already. Thanks.

Why would you be ineligible for an Amex just because you have one already? If it's a credit limit issue, just get them to swap your product over.

The status credit offer isn't an introductory offer from what I can see, it appears to be an ongoing benefit.

Thanks RooFlyer88. I am considering PER-KGI as well, but it needs to be before 28 Feb.

My review date is 28 Feb. Need to earn SC's by then. I will get a few with Fly Buys, but I think a flight will be necessary.
Another thought: book a Virgin one-way revenue fare that is cheap in one direction to/from PER (preferably in Choice class) and book a QF/Virgin reward flight on the way back.

Here's PER to ADL towards the end of February that should fit the bill in Choice:

Sorry, I'm not ineligible for the card, but just for the promotion assuming the SC's are part of the promotion. I'll investigate further. Thanks for the tip.

Perth to Cairns might also be a cheap option too which as a Choice fare would earn you 60 status credits one-way (30 status credits * 2 for double status credit promo):

And I see the return segment is available as a classic award for 17,800 points:

The ANZ Rewards Platinum Velocity card might be the go I think. Thanks for that tip. I didn't know about this card. :)
Take note of the fine print:
It may take up to 90 days from the eligible spend criteria being met to receive your SMS or email. You must redeem the Reward Code for the eligibility offers before the expiry date in the SMS or email you receive, otherwise you will forfeit any entitlement to do so. Once you have completed the redemption process on the redemption website, the 75,000 Velocity Points and the 30 Status Credits will be credited usually within 2 business days

Yes I noticed that. I will take the chance anyway and see what happens. I still have nearly 4 weeks to arrange a flight if I need to. Cheers and thanks.

Outside of FB & Coles, flying VA and partners, and the credit cards as mentioned above, there are no other ways of earning VFF SC.
The cheaper fares also are not eligible for the 4 or more sector counts.
While flying would be the fastest way to earn, its not cheap, and as mentioned above, the FB way can be slow, or even not, if you read the other forums, ie, the FB branch of the websiter.

Maybe thinking about your flying over the next year. If you don't retain platinum you will drop to gold which will still give you lounge access.

You maybe chasing something which you don't need.
